Field and Laboratory Investigations

We have a geotechnical section, which carries out field and laboratory investigations to establish foundation requirements and ensure quality of materials for pavements, buildings, roads and other major structures. Gaiwan and Associates has a number of survey, soils and geotechnical equipment including:

• Total Stations,
• Global Positioning Systems (GPS), and
• Associated Hi-Tech Software Field Testing Kits.

We also have a colorimeter and keeps necessary reagents for basic water quality tests. The firm also maintains older equipment such as distomats, theodolites, levels, staff, auger, CBR, Proctor testing, permeameters etc. for training purposes.
